Plant Care Guide
Maranta thrives in bright, indirect light that mimics the filtered light of its natural tropical habitat. Avoid strong direct sunlight, as it can fade the beautiful leaf patterns and cause crispy patches.
Keep the soil consistently lightly moist, allowing only the top layer to dry slightly between waterings. Maranta is sensitive to both drought and waterlogging, so consistent moisture with good drainage is the key.
Feed every 3–4 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted, balanced houseplant fertilizer. Avoid heavy feeding, as excess fertilizer can cause brown leaf edges and damage the delicate roots.
Maranta loves humidity and stable conditions, so keep it away from strong air-conditioning or very dry areas. Its leaves naturally fold upward in the evening and open again in the morning—this "prayer" movement is completely normal and one of its most charming features.
