Keep the soil evenly moist without becoming waterlogged. Basil prefers consistent moisture, especially during hot weather.

Feed lightly every 2 weeks during active growth. Moderate feeding helps maintain lush foliage production and flowers production.

Pinch off flower buds as soon as they appear. This encourages the plant to focus on producing flavorful leaves instead of seeds. However if you need more scent keep some flowers for this purpose.
